Dr. James Cockman III is a classical and gospel award-winning pianist with a unique style combining both classical and church music. In addition to the standard classical repertoire, his recitals incorporate his own arrangements known as hybrid hymns, which are a combination of hymns, gospel, and American tunes fused with classical or modern works. 

 

In addition to performing and composing, James is an active teacher and adjudicator. He is also the pianist and vocal coach for the Hybrid Five, the 2019 Most Musical Family in Missouri.
